App-tastic win for Sequel’s tech team and client Nationwide Building Society who won a glittering Gold award for Best Development of Proprietary Social Media Platform and Tools at the 10th prestigious Digital Impact Awards 2019. This is the third time we’ve won an award for the building society’s employee communication app.
We also bagged Silver in the Best Corporate App category for 2Gether, an onboarding app for bookmaker William Hill, at the same event.
The Digital Impact Awards benchmark digital communications in the corporate space. Held at the iconic Brewery on Chiswell Street, the 2019 event welcomed attendees from a variety of companies and agencies.
Charles Fenoughty, Sequel’s Digital Media Director, commented:
Nationwide’s events app continues to go from strength to strength. Launched in 2015, the flexible, multi-user app has since hosted around 30 separate events and saved the comms team the thousands of pounds it would have cost to launch individual apps for each new event and paying for event registration services.
William Hill’s 2Gether app was developed to create a modern digital onboarding experience for its Digital Division when the company acquired Mr Green, an online gambling company. It includes a warm welcome, important ‘need to know’ information about both organisations, and ongoing news and updates about the integration. A particularly popular feature was a live question and answer function.
