Things I learned as a Sequel intern

Au revoir Enzo! Enzo Soldaini, digital marketing student, swapped Paris for London, and his studies for Sequel to join us for a two-month internship. As he heads back to France, we asked him to share his experience with us…

As a first-year bachelor’s student in Digital Marketing at Essca Business School and Efrei Engineering School in Paris, I participated in a two-month internship here at Sequel Group in London.

I was interning at the digital marketing department. My main goal was to create different strategies and campaigns on social media, and SEO based on the market research.

Overall, I think this experience proved to be both enjoyable and enriching. I was able to put into practice elements I learned in class to the workplace. On top of that I learned new elements that you can only learn while working in the field, such as the impact of internal comms in a company or how essential digital is in today’s world.

The atmosphere was truly heart-warming. Everyone was very welcoming, which made a pleasant environment to work in.

I have lived across the world in Paris, Madrid and New York for several years but living a Londoner’s life for two months was really fun. I’ve had the opportunity to improve my English but also adopt a certain rhythm of life.

Following my bachelor’s degree, I would like to pursue a master’s in marketing, preferably in London, and find a job in that field.

Having done this internship and knowing all I know now, I realise that in the future, internal communication will have increased in popularity and interest by other companies. Especially for SMEs and large enterprises, because as technology advances this sector will follow.

I would like to thank all of the Sequel team for making this internship such a delightful time. I have learned so much and I can’t thank you enough.

Merci

“As a thought leader and progressive employer, Sequel is interested in sharing our expertise with a new generation of communicators and keen to learn from Millennials who are shaping the new digital workplace and associated employee experience, says Nick Andrews, Business Development Director.

“It was a pleasure to have Enzo on board and it was a mutually beneficial experience.”
